R v. Rahan Arshad [2007]
Manchester Crown Court. This was the heavily publicised trial of the Manchester taxi driver, arrested in Thailand, and charged with the brutal murder of his wife and 3 young children. Arshad fled the country after the murders and following a high profile international manhunt, was discovered on the Thai border, from here he was returned to the UK to face trial.
