R v. Apire & ors [2011]
Junior alone defending – Case involving allegations of Robbery, Possession of Drugs with intent to supply and possession of Firearms with Intent. This was a case which involved allegations that the defendants had robbed a house occupied by local drug dealers in an attempt to take over their market. There was an extensive policechase which involved the use of a Police Helicopter’s Night Vision Cameras to help detect members of the Gang who had escaped into the local area and had hidden themselves. During the chase firearms were discarded from the car and were later recovered by School children who discharged one of the guns on the high street thinking it to be an imitation weapon.
