Olivia Haggar prosecuted a couple for the decades long neglect of their adult son who lacked capacity.
The victim had seldom been seen since the 1990s. When officers attended the defendants’ property they found the victim, who was by that stage chronically psychotic from years of social isolation and neglect.
Following a nine-day trial at Reading Crown Court, both defendants were unanimously convicted.
