James Brown KC, leading Rupert Kent, prosecuted Barthimaus Ehiemere, who was convicted by a jury in July 2025 of 15 sexual offences, and who, in combination with earlier guilty pleas, was sentenced on 20th November 2025 for 47 such offences, the most serious of which were offences of rape of children under 13. At sentence the defendant received an extended sentence of 22 years imprisonment.
