Anna Dutka prosecuted 2 defendants who participated in a conspiracy to steal high-value vans from across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The value of the stolen vehicles taken in the conspiracy exceeded £250,000. The leader of the group had previously pleaded guilty and been sentenced.
The case was based on circumstantial evidence, involving ANPR, CCTV and cell site, to build a compelling case.
Following a 2-week trial at St Albans Crown Court, both defendants were convicted.
Anna was instructed by CPS Thames Chiltern.”
