Sam Willis and Harriet Palfreman prosecuted eleven defendants for the violent disorder arising from the high-profile protests outside of the Bell Hotel in Epping last year.
The second trial concluded this week, with all three defendants being convicted of all counts against them. The first trial had resulted in all four defendants being convicted of violent disorder, with another four defendants having pleaded guilty at earlier stages.
Both trials involved the calling of the senior police officers responsible for the policing of the disorder, both in the operation control centre and on the ground, and required the careful presentation of video footage from body-worn video, evidence-gatherer filming, drone footage, and social media clips.
Sam and Harriet were instructed by Samantha Woolley of the CPS East of England CCU.
