After a 4-week trial before Mr Justice Dias at Southwark Crown Court, a defendant has been convicted of murdering his ex-partner by strangulation. The jury heard details of previous complaints made by his partner which alleged prior incidents of abuse, together with expert evidence related to the neck injuries being consistent with strangulation. Sentence has been adjourned to a date to be fixed.
