5KBW - Leading Barristers' Chambers
Background

We aim to provide an excellent quality of service at all times. However, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we would encourage you to let us know immediately.

In many cases, potential complaints can be resolved informally with the barrister without resort to the formal complaints procedure. Please direct your complaint to our Chambers administrator, whose contact details are below.

If a concern cannot be resolved informally, Chambers has a formal procedure to ensure that complaints are dealt with promptly and appropriately. To find out more about this procedure, please email our Chambers administrator, Nicki Crew, whose contact details appear below.

The complaints procedure includes information on:

  • Your right to complain to the Legal Ombudsman (LeO) or the Bar Standards Board (BSB) – independent bodies that can help you if you have complained to us lawyer and are dissatisfied with our response
  • Time limits for making a complaint.

You can also search the decision data on the LeO’s website here: https://www.legalombudsman.org.uk/information-centre/data-centre/ombudsman-decision-data/

This shows providers that received an ombudsman’s decision in the previous calendar year, and whether the LeO required the provider to provide a remedy to the consumer. Alternatively, you can contact the LeO on 0300 555 0333 to ask about this or email enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk.

If you have a complaint about any aspect of the service you have received from 5KBW, please contact our Chambers Administrator, Nicki Crew.
