Instructed to prosecute a 2-handed VAT fraud. The defendants operated a company through which fraudulent VAT returns were made. These returns obtained unwarranted repayments of over £2m. This was spent on high value cars, and lavish accommodation in central London. Instructed by the CPS Serious Economic Organised Crime and International Directorate.
