Valeria Swift, leading Anna Dutka, prosecuted an 8-week trial at Kingston Crown Court, which involved complex legal argument on bad character and hearsay, expert evidence and substantial telephone and CCTV evidence. The case concerned a shooting in a car park in South London which was committed as an act of revenge for the kidnap of one of the defendants the previous year. The jury convicted all three defendants. The first defendant was sentenced to 18 years’ imprisonment; the second and third defendants were sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment.
