Southampton CC – Led junior in a case involving the murder of a vulnerable man over a small drugs debt. Having strangled the victim to death, the defendant had attempted to ‘set the scene’ to make it appear that V had died peacefully in his sleep and, when that failed, he then attempted to cast suspicion on others. The case involved expert evidence as to the cause of death.
