In March 2025 Lathaniel Burrell was shot dead in broad daylight on an estate in Stockwell. He was sixteen years of age when he died. Ben Holt was led by Alan Gardner KC [23ES] in the prosecution of 5 men said to be responsible for his death. The first two defendants were convicted of murder. The jury could not reach verdicts on the other three defendants and they will be re-tried.
