Rupert was instructed by the CPS Counter Terrorism Division as junior alone in this two-handed case relating to the 2024 stabbing of a foreign journalist working for an organisation critical of a foreign regime. The case attracted international media attention, and involved expert, medical, telephone, CCTV, immigration and eye-witness evidence, gathered by the Metropolitan Police Service’s SO15 Counter Terrorism Command, who worked in conjunction with police officers from a foreign jurisdiction, and from where the defendants were ultimately extradited.
