The defendant was charged with a number of offences of rape and also an offence under the Modern Slavey Act. The defendant was a drug dealer who had persuaded a young woman to allow him to stay at her address, to use a base for his drug dealing. When she asked him to leave, he refused. Over the course of the week, he raped her on a number of occasions, as well as assaulting her.
