Rupert Kent, led by Philip Evans (QEB Hollis Whiteman), prosecuted a defendant for the 2018 murder of an unarmed and innocent member of the public, who was attacked by a gang wielding knives and a firearm.
After a five-week trial at the Central Criminal Court, the last of the four attackers was convicted of murder. The conviction brought to an end a series of linked trials, as a result of which all four of the attackers were convicted of murder, and subsequently sentenced to terms of life imprisonment.
