Catherine Pattison prosecuted Abdullah Albadru who was convicted of preparing a terror-related knife attack following a trial at the Central Criminal Court.

Abdullah Albadri arrived in the UK in a small boat from France on 12 April 2025. 16 days later, and armed with two knives, he attempted to scale the fencing outside the Israeli Embassy. He was arrested by armed diplomatic protection officers. Earlier that day he had written a martyrdom letter which he had photographed and sent to his mother. He followed this with messages, that included, “I chose the path of martyrdom”. His motivation was to exact revenge upon the Israeli Government for its alleged murder of innocent children.

He will be sentenced by Mrs Justice Lambert DBE on a later date.
