Following a 5 week trial at Wood Green Crown Court, Dominic Whitton was convicted of the murder of his mother and preventing the lawful burial of her body.

Charlotte Hole, led by Steven Perian KC of 2KBW, was instructed by Roy Pershad of the CPS Homicide Unit.

This case involved complex medical and forensic evidence. Due to the victim’s advanced state of decomposition, careful analysis was required and expert evidence identified 67 fractures of different ages, supporting the Prosecution’s case that Mr Whitton’s mother was subjected to repeated non-accidental trauma.

The defendant is due to be sentenced on the 10th July.
