William Sneddon was instructed to represent an individual accused of Assisting an Offender. The individual was accused of helping a family friend (the Offender) in escaping the jurisdiction, the Offender was alleged to have committed the offence of kidnapping. The case involved the presentation of cell site and CCTV evidence showing the individual’s movements in tandem with the offender. The individual accepted that he had helped the Offender but denied knowledge that he was assisting the offender or that he knew of the underlying offence.
Following a 2-week trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court, the individual was unanimously acquitted.
