William Sneddon represented a client charged with aggravated burglary, involving allegations that a baseball bat was used to inflict violence on the occupants.
The prosecution relied on the discovery of the client’s blood in a bedroom said to have been searched during the burglary. The defence case was that the client had previously attended the address to buy drugs from the occupier’s son and had suffered a nosebleed there. The Crown witnesses denied knowing the client.
Following a four-day trial at Chichester Crown Court, the client was unanimously acquitted.
