Frederick is a highly rated barrister with a track record of achieving exceptional results on both sides of the courtroom. Regularly instructed in complex and lengthy cases beyond his call, both at first instance and on appeal, he is scrupulous in his preparation, and regarded for his total command of the law. An engaging trial advocate, Frederick has excellent client care with an incisive approach, and is adept at managing and providing practical advice to large case teams.
Frederick has particular experience in serious fraud and cybercrime work, including in boiler room, vishing/phishing, mandate, duty evasion, Ponzi frauds, bribery, and in international money laundering cases. He is also regularly instructed in POCA work, appearing in high-value confiscation, restraint, and order enforcement proceedings.
Further, Frederick receives instruction in cases involving serious organised crime, including in drug importation, serious violence, and firearms supply, and much of which involves the prosecution or defence of multi-handed and lengthy cases.
In addition, Frederick has built up an impressive regulatory practice, in particular in proceedings relating to healthcare professionals. He frequently appears at inquests on behalf of individuals or NHS Trusts, including in complex Article 2 inquests involving the deaths of those under the care of mental health services or in state detention.
Moreover, he receives regular instruction on behalf of registrants appearing before, and appealing against, the decisions of, professional tribunals (see, for example, Wisniewska v NMC [2016] EWHC 2672 Admin).
