Series of Serious Domestic Violence Offences

Sam Willis prosecuted a defendant for a series of serious domestic violence offences committed during the course of an 18-month relationship. The defendant had falsely imprisoned, strangled, and assaulted his partner. When this was reported to the police, he made repeated telephone calls to her in breach of his bail conditions. After a 5-day trial, the jury convicted the defendant on all eight counts including false imprisonment, non-fatal strangulation, and witness intimidation.
