Claire Mainwaring represented a highly vulnerable client charged with racially aggravated harassment at Woolwich Crown Court. The matter involved a full-day contested fitness to plead hearing, resulting in a finding of unfitness. After defence representations regarding the public interest in continuing proceedings, the Crown offered no evidence and the client was formally acquitted of all charges.
