Maddison accepts instructions across the full range of chambers practice areas, prosecuting and defending in all areas of criminal law.
Maddison maintains a busy and varied practice in the Crown Court, Magistrates’ Court, and Youth Court, regularly appearing for both the defence and the Crown. Her caseload spans serious violent offences, drug-related crime, dishonesty, and driving offences.
Maddison has completed specialist Youth Court training and is particularly recognised for her ability to build a strong rapport with clients, putting them at ease with her approachable and empathetic manner.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Maddison obtained a Bachelors in History before undertaking her Graduate Diploma in Law. After her studies, she worked as a caseworker at Arusha Women Legal Aid & Human Rights Organisation.
Maddison also regularly volunteered for the Schools’ Consent Project, educating secondary school students on the law surrounding sexual assault, and the Prisoners’ Advice Service, providing free legal assistance to prisoners.
