Phoebe is a specialist advocate with experience of serious and complex cases, both defending and prosecuting. Phoebe has been ranked in Chambers UK 2023 as a "Rising Star".

Her practice is concentrated upon all forms of serious offending with experience of cases involving multi-national fraud and money laundering as well as sexual allegations, drugs and other serious violence. Phoebe has experience dealing with all aspects of confiscation proceedings and costs applications following acquittal. She has a strong private practice and is also public access qualified.

Phoebe recently co-authored a chapter with Sarah Forshaw KC in "Current Practice in Forensic Medicine" [Vol 3] on the disclosure of evidence in sexual assault cases.

Phoebe also undertakes work for regulatory bodies and has worked on the Grenfell Inquiry, the Post Office “Horizon” case and multiple multi-jurisdictional financial fraud matters of a sensitive nature including the “Wirecard” fraud.

She is regularly instructed as led junior both prosecuting and defending in large complex investigations often involving expert telephone, cell site and banking evidence. Phoebe is known for her early and thorough case preparation, attention to detail and excellent rapport with both her lay and professional clients.

• R v TK [Kingston Crown Court] 2024

  Death by Careless Driving Acquittal

  Client acquitted of causing death by careless driving. Privately instructed.

• R v Dhir & Raijada [Southwark Crown Court] 2024

  Drug & Money Laundering

  Prosecution of husband and wife exporting over 7 tonnes of cocaine to Australia and associated money laundering offences. Both defendants convicted and sentenced to 33 years in prison.

  Drugs Conspiracy

  Prosecution of “encrochat” cocaine drugs conspiracy

• R v AK [Southwark Crown Court] 2023

  Client acquitted of all charges in £5m money laundering offences

  Led by Jeffrey Israel, Phoebe defended an Italian national charged with multiple money laundering offences alongside multiple co-defendants, many of whom had fled the jurisdiction. The defendant was acquitted of all offences following a six week trial at Southwark Crown Court.

   

• R v LM Kingston Crown Court 2023

  Client acquitted of rape and controlling coercive charges

  Phoebe defended a man charged with multiple rape offences and controlling and coercive behaviour. These allegations were made following the breakdown of a relationship.
