Nicholas Robinson

Practice Profile

Nick Robinson is an experienced and sought after defence advocate in cases of the utmost gravity and complexity, both as junior alone and as a led junior.

He has represented defendants charged with cases across the spectrum of criminal offences, including murder, serious violence, the importation and supply of drugs, rape and sexual assault, robbery, the possession and use of firearms and burglary. Nick has considerable experience in matters related to the proceeds of crime including confiscation proceedings and civil cash forfeiture proceedings.

In addition, Nick has significant experience in quasi-criminal cases, acting both for the prosecution and the defence. His experience includes cases involving stalking protection orders, breaches of planning orders, offences involving protected trees and applications for the imposition of CBOs. Nick is regularly instructed by local authorities and is able to provide advice from before any proceedings are brought, through to the final hearing itself and in any confiscation proceedings which follow.

• R v Y [Snaresbrook] 2018

  Armed robbery and Blackmail

  Nick Robinson acted for this young defendant who was accused of armed robbery and blackmail committed against a boy who went to his school. The case was dismissed at the conclusion of the prosecution case and the defendant was acquitted of all charges. Instructed by Phil Emery of Emery Halil & Brown.

  Nick Robinson acted in this Section 18 GBH. The defendant was charged following a frenzied hammer attack during the course of a landlord and tenant dispute. Instructed by Goldkorns.

• R v SH [Inner London] 2016

  Sc18 Wounding

  Nick Robinson acted for the defence in this Section 18 GBH. The defendant charged with attacking her on/off partner with a glass bottle. Both defendant and victim were vulnerable adults. The defendant was acquitted following a trial. Instructed by Goldkorns.
