Anthony Orchard QC led William Davis for the prosecution in a murder trial following an incident outside a nightclub in which a man was stabbed. After the killing the Defendant fled to Cyprus with the assistance of a friend, who was convicted of assisting an offender. The Defendant was extradited to the UK in 2019.

The defendant was sentenced to 14 years and nine months imprisonment. The victim and defendant were childhood friends and had arranged to meet at the time of the incident to settle their unresolved tensions. The victim died by a single stab wound to the chest.

The victim was shot in the chest with an automatic pistol at close range during broad daylight in a street in Ilford East London. They were each sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 30 years.
