CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FROM 5KBW:
The health and safety of our professional and lay clients, barristers and staff remains paramount at this time of crisis and, in accordance with the government directive, chambers’ premises will be closed until further notice. However please be assured that we at 5KBW will continue to provide you with a seamless and professional service.
Members of chambers and all of our staff are now working remotely. Chambers boasts state of the art video conferencing facilities which we will make available for use by all of our clients. During this time, please can you ensure that any papers are sent digitally, and if any payments to our barristers are to be made, we kindly ask that you make them electronically. Chambers bank details are on the bottom of every fee note. If you have evidence that is too large for email please advise the clerks and barrister concerned and we will provide you with alternative delivery methods.
If you have any questions as to delivery of any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact the clerks. Members of chambers will continue to attend any listed hearing remotely but please note that as a chambers we have decided not to put our pupils at risk and they will not be undertaking face to face hearings. Those tenants who do not need to rely on public transport will, where necessary, provide cover. This pandemic is leading to changes of practices daily and we are doing everything in our power to ensure the smooth running of the cases in which we are instructed.
