It is with deep sadness that we have to report the death of our great friend and former member of Chambers HH Robert Prendergast. Robert, who was called in 1963, joined Chambers under Brian Higgs QC in 1985 and spent his last four years in practice here until his appointment to the Circuit Bench in 1989. He served as a judge of great distinction in the Crown Court, first at Snaresbrook and then at the Inner London Sessions House, until his retirement in 2006. He remained after that a much loved and respected loyal friend to Chambers during his happy retirement. All will miss his friendship, support, wise counsel and wry humour. Our thoughts are with his beloved wife Bibi and daughter Victoria and their family.”
