Unanimous acquittal of s18 - causing GBH with intent

Alejandra represented defendant who, following a 5-day trial at Inner London Crown Court was unanimously acquitted on all counts in under 1 hour.

Defendant was charged with section 18 GBH and section 20 GBH, following a random and prolonged attack upon his neighbour with a metal pole. As a result of the alleged attack the complainant suffered a number of fractures to his hand. The incident was witnessed by the complainant’s partner, who was also present in the room when the alleged incident took place.
